I've been looking at Xantech systems as a way to control my receiver from a second room. The receiver has a jack which according to the instructions I can use to connect it directly with the Xantech connecting block, no emitter necessary.

Problem is, none of the literature I'm finding at Xantech and Parts Express's web sites tell me what I need to set that up. They only describe setups that use emitters. Can anyone clue me in if there is a special kit I'm overlooking or if I just need to buy an extra wire or what. Thanks!

Instead of an emitter you connect from the block to the component using a cable with mono 1/8" headphone jack on each end. I use this on my HK recvr for zone 2 and it works perfectly. If you are not sure what to buy, take an emitter to the store with you and ask for a cable with that connector on both ends.

Excellent. I had hoped it was something simple like that. Thanks!
