Hello folks. Just yesterday, my son and I were having a debate on who would kick who's butt in a duel between Gandalf and the Emperor (Palpatine) and it got me thinking about a poll here on the matter.

Would it be possible to first make a comprehensive list of 48 or so bad-ass characters and have them duel off in a poll resulting in one overall winner?

Movies only?
Live action?
How about Alanis Morissettes' character in Dogma?

I'm nominating...

Mona Demarkov (Romeo is Bleeding) "I'm not telling you to kill him. I'm telling you to bury him. If he dies in the process, that's his problem."

Anton Chigurh (No Country for Old Men) "Call it"

If you search on "Who would win in a fight?" you may still be able to find the last version of this poll that we did many, many years ago.

I think the first time we did it Bugs Bunny won. The second time it was criminally handed to Yoda. I don't remember who won the third time since interest seemed to die off near the end after we killed off Yoda. Of course that was when the Polls Area had much higher attendance and threads didn't generate only 1 response per week.

So I'll throw Bugs Bunny into the nomination pool, since no one could ever conceive of him being defeated by anyone (unless Babs Bunny gets into the challenge). And to tie in with an imminent movie release, I'll also nominate Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr.
