Will this show see or have a chance to see season by season releases on DVD? I searched TVshowsondvd.com and saw 4 different dvds that were collections on subject, but 3 of them are oop.
there is something in the distribution contract that only allows a certain number of eps to be released to video. The contract needs to be re-negotiated then.
there is something in the distribution contract that only allows a certain number of eps to be released to video.Jeff, if you don't mind my asking, could you elaborate on this a bit? Was this a contract between Disney and Marvel or was it between Disney and some other studio that origionally did the animation? (It's been so long since I saw this show I can't remember who actually made it...) Is this contract likely to be renegotiated? Disney's prejudice against sets aside, it seems like this clause is killing potential revenue for everyone involved. Season sets of the X-Men cartoons would sell like hotcakes if they were released even within a couple months of the X2's DVD release. If that timeframe is too steep, more X-Men movie sequels seem to be a sure thing. While Disney has a somewhat mixed track record for DVD releases, I've always believed that greed overcomes stupidity.
