I just upgraded my X-Files: Fight the Future" DVD to the DTS anamorphic version (found it at Walmart for $7.50), and noticed that the UPC code differed from that on a friend's (we use the same database server to keep our inventory). My UPC is 024543010951, where his is 024543010944 (which is also the UPC I get for all of the other online stores). I know that Walmart sometimes gets scaled-down DVDs for their bargain bins, so is this what I am looking at here? Thanx!

They probably just assigned it a new UPC when it got a price drop.

Or they have separate UPCs for checkpoint and sensormatic.

So you are saying that the pressing itself is not substandard? (yes, I am paranoid about these things where walmart is concerned).

Columbia and MGM are the only companies that crap their DVDs. Fox does re-release 2-disc sets as 1, but this movie never had more than one, so you'll be fine.
