This question has been beaten to death I'm sure, but I missed it.

Will a X-Box have an ill effect on my new 50H81?

    Thanks,

    :)

As for the TV, I really like this set. I've had it for a couple of months and have had 0 problems. I'm gettin ready to do a really good convergance adjustment, although it's not bad now. I almost bought a 40" and a 42"., but after doin some measurements those sets would have been too small for my room. I'm sittin 12 to 13ft. away from the screen. Great TV for the money. ($2200)

Gaming is fine as long as contrast is turned down, etc. The fact that you are setting convergence tells me you are concerned with calibration, so you are on the right path. And, as with any source, don't keep static images on screen for hours at a time.
