X-box and HDTV (1 Viewer)

Im getting an HDTV soon the 51/57hw40 havent decided on size yet and I will be needing to purchase a nice progressive scan dvd player to go along with it, i was wondering if I could use an X-box to do this so i get both a console and dvd player. Does the X-box double as a progressive scan dvd player, and if it does, does it do a good job?

No, the Xbox can do progressive for games but can only do interlaced for the DVD player.
