I know she's guilty of something....
Heehee. I LOVE BAD GIRLS. She needs a spanking... :b
It's also quite interesting that Peter Guber, the former head of Sony Pictures Entertainment, is one of the jurors. He was at the studio when it released two films for which Winona received Oscar nominations -- "The Age of Innocence" and "Little Women".
Danny- Haha! That's priceless. Moviestars have rights too, even more than you or me. She's real pretty too bad she's a bandit.
She stole my heart :b
Of course I know it's corny to say that
Can I get a conjugal visit with her?
This whole thing reeks! I really can't wait to find out how this turns out. She asked for 'peers', so they got her people that work in Hollywood. Isn't that neat?
I heard the other day that she had been arrested for drug possession too, but they found out that she had a perscription for them.
Today the prosecution is changing what they said regarding her removing the store security tags in the dressing room as they had a video tape going. (Too bad it was facing the wrong way)! I just hope all of this isn't for publicity.
There is not one thing the defense has said yet that would justify her stealing. Her defense attorney said that she had a credit card "on file" (whatever that means--maybe she made a previous purchase?) and after she was detained she said "you can do whatever you want with the credit card." Since I have purchased items from Home Depot in the past, I guess I can steal whatever I want and if questioned, tell them to charge it to my account. Let's face it--if there were some standing agreement for them charge her account, she wouldn't have removed the tags and Saks would not have even brought charges.
Anyone not living in a fantasy world knows this is shoplifting plain and simple. If she has some psychological issues that caused her to do this (and how can there not be?), then I would have understood if she had simply settled the case for a lesser charge and reimbursed Saks. But the fact that she insists on going ahead with a trial and wasting taxpayer money earns her no sympathy in my book.
If legitimate evidence emerges that casts doubt on her guilt, I will be the first to apologize. But don't you think the prosecution wouldn't pursue the case unless it were air tight? Think of the potential embarrassment. Right now the only embarrassment is Ryder, no matter how sexy she is.
I would rather see her get some mandatory help for whatever problems she has rather then getting jail time (doubtful) or community service. She obviously has some issues....then again maybe not.
Cmon guys .. she was told to do it by a director in an upcoming flick.
I guess it's OK if it's for a role!.
Brian - I am not supporting her in the least, but you have to admit, you should be living in a loony bin if you walked out of a store with $5k in goods.
Methinks they've left out some crucial info that would make sense of all of this.
The poor girl is probably as wacked as some of her
characters/performances. That much seems clear.
Someone has an agenda. I am sure you and I could succesfully plead out something if we had done such a thing.
Celebrities often get breaks, but it goes the other way too.
Not that I want to fart on this thread, but maybe this whole mess has something to do with next Tuesday? Can any LA locals confirm?
What's up next tuesday?
and we thought WITCH-HUNT'S only happened in salem. apparantly they happen in hollywood too.
this is so stupid it's ludicrous. the amount of resources being wasted on this is beyond ludicruous.
