    Jeff,
Since you lack cable, I figured that I would update you on the DVD status of Tough Enough. There was a commercial about a three disc set including all episodes and what I think was 90 minutes of extra footage.
The price was $59.95 plus S/H and it seems to be only available through MTV. If I catch the commercial again I will post the phone number.

Thanks! It goes w/o saying, please don't tell me who won [IMG]
I wonder if they'll do something similar for Making the Band, since MTV produced that. I'm sure the set will be available at retail as well. I'll check the WWF's sites. Thanks again for the update [IMG]

    You're welcome...
I was very close to letting the cat out of the bag and telling you who won. But then I figured someone was taping it for you or something similar.
No sign of the commercial again. But I would guess that you could find something on MTV.com.

I've long wondered why Vince McMahon doesn't put out RAW/Smackdown DVDs. They're already recorded, the costs would be minimal. We wouldn't demand fancy packaging or elaborate extras...they could even use static menus. If MGM can put out a disc like Killer Klowns for $10 and make money, WWF should be able to put these babies out for $8. Or $9 at the most. It'd probably actually make me buy the pay-per-view discs at a premium because I'd then have the build-up.
My suggestion would be issue one a week with 2 RAWs or 1 RAW and 1 Smackdown. I might not buy one every week, but during slow weeks, I might pick up 2 or 3 at that pricepoint. Then, after we're hooked (knowing what insane completists we are, he can start going backwards too, releasing 1 or 2 "classic" shows per month.
Much as I hate to say it, just like in episodic tv, best-ofs just wouldn't be the same.

I suppose you think that's very funny, Harold.

    Jeff---
There was something to the effect of "only available through this special offer." The intent was clear that it wouldn't be available in stores (at least not yet).
