Looking for a used L300U projector. I would prefer no dead or stuck pixels or dust blobs. Basically, I'd prefer a projector with no problems. The lower hours the better. Anybody in Southern Ontario? I'll consider people from other areas too, as long as its within a few hours drive from Toronto.

No Panasonic. Of interest though is a Demo Matinee 1HD going for $1599.99. Not bad I guess. Can be had new for less elsewhere though. Still looking for a Panasonic L300U though. I may have located one close enough to me to check out. Still waiting.

I was just at 2001 audio and video and they carry the PTAE-200 and 300. If you go to tigerdirect.ca they have the PT-L300u for 1,754.99.

What I would like to know is what is the difference between
the PTAE and the PT-L, the specs look identical. 2001 is selling the PTAE-300 for 3,300.

    Any help would be appreciated.

PTL in Canada is just Panasonics Canadian marketed player and its insanely overpriced. The PTAExxxU is sort of a version sold elsewhere in the world, Japan and Europe. Kinda Grey market, even when you see it in the US. The PT-LxxxU models in the US are reasonabley priced. I saw the Tiger Direct stuff. Its dropped in price by about $45.00. Not a bad deal considering you pay about $2020.00 CDN after taxes. I'm looking at $1300.00 CDN used so thats what I can afford now.

Of course I'll be selling my AE100 shortly.

Soory to jump in here, but for people looking at buying from Tiger direct be warned that they sell a lot of U.S. product NO WARRANTY.

I'm looking at Tiger for a Benq 6100, but am really worried about the U.s. warranty.

NOW back to your regularly scheduled WTB thread[IMG]

Panasonic stuff has Manufacturers warranty. Tiger does have extended warrantees, but I'm not sure I'd go for that.

Benq DOES warranty there stuff in Canada, even if you bought in the States.

    Talked to Benq directly.

The rebate MUST have a U.S. address for the business otherwise NO GO.

Still looking. Although I wonder if I really should bother spending money to upgrade. I keep watching DVD's on my AE100 and smiling...but hey, we always want better...

Any L300 owners upgrading, talk to me, I may buy your PJ if the price is reasonable.
