I know that everybody else wants one too. I'm looking for an amp to run my sub. I really do not want a plate amp. I would prefer an amp to sit on my shelf. Here's a list of criteria:

    100-200 watts into 4 ohms

preferably a mono amp but will consider a stereo to use one side

nice looking (or at least able to be cleaned up)

That's about it except for price (and it's the kicker). I'm looking in the $100 price range.

I've seen a few on ebay that I've almost grabbed but didn't for various reasons. I thought someone here might have one collecting dust, one that needs some minor (and I mean MINOR) repair, or one that they've had for a while and just upgraded and would like to help get a newbie started.

Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks,

    Joel

try the parts express plate amps. Parts Express sells them for $99 but kyle at www.acoustic-visions.com has them a little cheaper then that...150 watts into 4 ohms etc.

He said he didn't want a plate amp, but personally I think they're good. If you face your sub the right way, you'll never see it.
