I need a SAT/HDTV combo. Since no one responded to the SAT/HDTV combo how about just a HDTV receiver.

under $500 but I would like to keep it as low as possible. I just want to use this as a second receiver until they come out with a hdtv tivo.

I too am looking for a HDTV receiver for DirecTV and OTA use. It must also take the HU DirecTV card. I can go around $400 or so.

    I have a slightly used tu-hds20 that I don't use.

I Bought it new 7 months ago and it works great.

Colors and picture are excellent but I no longer use it
and have decided to sell it.

Comes w/remote and owners manual. I need $345+
    $20 shipping.

Call me at 678.467.2039 (Atlanta) w/any questions.

    Works w/HU card.

Well, while this thread is going -- I'll mention that I could use a Dish Network compatible HDTV tuner (that gets off-air too). I believe that the Dish and JVR 6000 boxes are the only ones right now. If someone has moved from Dish to something else and has one, I'd be interested in trying to work something out, at least. Thanks.

    - John...

P.S. My HDTV hasn't even arrived yet -- scheduled for next Wednesday. :)

There is a HDS20 here (Admin note - Active Ebay link removed, please don't post anymore active Ebay links on the HTF) for the next hour and a half. The highest bid is $305.00 right now.

I thought you all might be interested.

For your information, if you happen to be in the Mia i area, there is a local chain of stores called brandsmart, which ios sellign the hughes hird e86 for 298. This is an awsome receiver for direct tv HD and also for over the air. It also accepts HU cards and has optical audio outs.
The only catch is that they require a one year subscription (every otehr retailer does the same). Yet, if you want to avoid this commitment, you can have a person buy it for you who allready has a direct tv subsctription, and hey can call Direct tv, and tell them theya re simply upgrading their box, so as to deactivate their old card, an activate their new one. This last hint is only useful if you ONLy plan on using your receiver for over the air for the moment... else you might was well get the subscription, sicne its needed to watch direct tv anyways.

the website fo the store i beleive its eitehr www.brandsmart.com or www.brandsmartusa.com
