I'm looking for an IDE hard drive around $50.
I was at Best Buy on the weekend. They have Western Digital drives 40 (or 60?) gigs for 59.95. I bought the 80 gig drive for 89.95.
Best of luck!!
Thanks for the info, Greg. I think I'll just buy a new one then.
I have a used 20Gb Seagate 5400 rpm drive for sale for $30 including shipping, if you are interested.
If you start monitoring "OutPost.Com" (Frys) from time to time you see WD 40g hdd for around 40 bucks. WDs value series (5400rpm) are real cheap now and outperform many 7200rpm drives. They even make a 60 and I think an 80 in theit Value series now. . .
MicroCenter has a 200GB WD hard drive for $200. It's too expensive for me, but I thought others would like to know about it. I think the sale ends next week.
When I left Dallas 1 month ago Frys had 200g WD HDDs for 159.00 7200rpm (instant rebate) my mobo only accepts 160 (200 probally would work) so I passed, didnt have time anyway.
