Looking forward to the announcement....

Pending on what Apple brings to the table I will either buy the larger
iPhone 6 or stay with Android and buy the Galaxy Note 4.

Ron, I predict you will go back to the iPhone and then chafe at all the restrictions. Then back to Android. And then back to iPhone when they jailbreak it. After that, it gets hazy.

Yeah, as much as I loved the iPhone, I appreciate the fact that
there are no restrictions on Android.

Nothing groundbreaking here. I would have been more impressed
if they showed the larger 5.5 cover which I don't believe we have
seen yet.

What are you finding so impressive here?

That they are going to stick with glass backs and light up the logo like on laptops. That glowing apple is a huge part of the branding for laptops and would be neat on a phone, especially if you have the option to disable it so its optional.

Again, if true.

I missed that. Yeah, that would be neat. My fear a battery drainer,
but as you said if it can be defeated it's fine.

If there's a larger iPhone -- and I am betting on it -- I may switch back from
Android.

However, I have to say, I love my android phone. I like the freedom it allows
me and I am not certain I am ready to go back to an OS environment where
I have to play by Apple's rules.

Sam,

I wanted to comment on this further as I was pressed for time
when I read your initial post.

My heart belongs to Apple. I am a Mac devotee like no other.

I switched from a Windows PC to a Mac back in 2006 (?) when
"Mac" was still a bad word and most people advised that one should
never go over to the dark side.

Nowadays, it's really cool to see how many people have moved
from PCs to Mac. Everyone loves their Mac!

Giving up the iPhone was a tough thing for me to do.

Yes, screen size was the initial reason. I love my larger android screen.

But the one thing I love even more about my Android is that I can customize
it to my heart's content. My phone is not going to look like the next guy's
android phone.

This is where Apple needs to loosen up a bit. They need to allow more
freedom for their users who want to customize their phones without having
to jailbreak.

If and when Apple announces their larger phone I might very well go back.
However, the only reason would be is for its hand-off/continuation capabilities
which I find very fascinating.
