try to find the $$ to get the JBL S310II, i think they sound much better than the northridge series...if you go that way...i have only heard the JBL's...S310II can be had for $370/pair from online stores (jandr, bhphoto, bestpriceaudiovideo)

I agree with Mike, I love mine! The S310II's are a great value and can be had for $400 or less online. They are large, so check out the specs.
