Okay, on the Fast and the Furious angle, how about:

"I live my life a quarter mile at a time."

I've started to use that in everyday life - "I live my life one spreadsheet at a time".

WTF?

Picking on dialogue from these types of films is almost too easy.

Which is one of many very amusing reasons that I just might pick this up now that it's out on DVD.

Yeah, you could pick pretty much anything from Fast and Furious or XXX.

"You are entering......the Xander Xone". Seriously, if I could find the script, 'zone' is probably spelled with an 'X' because the entire thing is that EXTREME.

Pick any Bond film.

Pick any chapter.

Play.

Hear bad dialogue.

I still can't get over that "I thought Christmas only came once a year!" zinger at the end of The World Is Not Enough (officially the worst non-Roger Moore Bond film).

"You can be my wing man any time"
"No you can be mine"

Top Gun

"Welcome to The Rock"

Sean Connery, in case we still didn't know what "The Rock" was.

more star wars stuff, but i physically winced when i first heard Hayden Christansen say "Obiwan would be grumpy if he saw me doing this" in the knife-floating pear cutting scene.

"grumpy".

GRUMPY.

I was defending TPM when people saying that not many liked it, I used that to say that the majority of people must have liked it. And Im sure that most people liked Spiderman too, I really liked it, but its nothing compared to Superman or The Crow in terms of comic movies.

I still can't get over that "I thought Christmas only came once a year!" zinger at the end of The World Is Not Enough (officially the worst non-Roger Moore Bond film).
Not officially, I think its one of the best Bonds.

Any porno has to take the cake. I remember the first one I saw when we were 14 (educating nina or something like it).
Husband: Blank you!
wife: Blank you!
Husband: Blank you!
wife: Blank you!
Husband: Blank you!
wife: Blank you!
Husband: OK!
...cue cheesy porn music...

And just to keep the star wars thing going, I love the movies (all of them),call me a uber-fan boy, I don't care. All 5 movies are full of bad dialogue whether delibrate or not.

Poison Ivy: Come with me. My garden needs tending.
Robin: I hate to disappoint you but my rubber lips are immune to your charms.

Poison Ivy: There's just something about an anatomically correct rubber suit that puts fire in a girl's lips.
Batman: Why is it that all the beautiful ones are homicidal maniacs? Is it me?

Mr.Freeze: If I must suffer, humanity will suffer with me.

Robin: I need a sign that you've turned over a new leaf.
Poison Ivy: How about "slippery when wet?"

Mr.Freeze: You're not sending ME to the COOLER!

Cop: Please show some mercy!
Mr.Freeze: I'm afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy.

Mr.Freeze: Tonight, hell freezes over!

Robin: Where's the snowman?
Batgirl: Maybe he melted.
Batman: No, he's just hibernating.

Poison Ivy: So many people to kill... so little time.
Gossip Gerty: You must be new here. In Gotham city, Batman and Robin protect us
...even from plants and flowers!

Well i hated World is Not Enough as well.

And thanks Steve for posting for posting the dialogue from Batman and Robin. What an abysmal failure.

I've been pretty lucky. Most of the movies mentioned here I've had the good fortune to avoid. Either through reading a review, hearing from a friend, seeing the trailer, or good ol' fashion spidey-sense! :)

There are, of coarse, movies you are pretty sure are going to be crap, but are powerless to turn down (The 2nd Star Wars travesty, Star Trek Nemesis)..

I know it's wrong, but there are movies I've watched just to put it in the "seen it" pile in my head! How stupid is that?

I have yet to see anything surpass the circular dialog of Ed Wood. Behold:

Greetings! My friends. We are all interested in the future for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives! And remember my friends, future events such as these will affect you in the future!
Now tell me Lucas (or anyone else) is THAT bad.

Steve,

I wish you hadn't done that. I've done my best to block B&R from my memory. Ahh, the sublime wordsmithing of now Academy Award Winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman...
