Any Ed Wood film.

Forget performances because a bad actor can destroy average or even good dialog. Just take the dialog on it's own.

Ed Wood wrote just insanely idiotic dialog.

But I agree the AiNY dialog cited here is pretty freaking awful.

Those are good lines from Autumn in NY.
James Cameron's dialogue is great too.

Boo on this thread.

Lord of the Rings: The Felowship of the Ring:

"Let's hunt some orc." :rolleyes

What, is Aragorn suddenly Schwartzenegger now, spouting off one liners?

It would have been much better if they used Aragorn's line from the book.

How about speed, when Keanu finds the bomb on the bottom of the bus:

"Harry, there's enough C-4 on this thing to put a hole in the world!"

Unbelievably Bad Dialogue!

Oh yeah, and almost any line from Armageddon that is trying to be serious, while the other lines that are supposed to be somewhat cheeky are alright, like Owen Wilson saying "Scariest environment imaginable. That's all you had to say, scariest environment imaginable."

I don't know if anyone has said this, but what about Johnny Mneumonic? Dolph Lundgren says Halt Sinners! and puts his hand up to stop the vehicle (which ends up running him over!) I am not proud to say I paid to see that movie. Hell, I paid to see Action Jackson what a crappy movie!

Some great quotes here, but all these responses and none of you have mentioned a classic line/delivery from Michael York in Logan's Run:

"NO!!!! You don't have to die! NONE of you have to die! YOU CAN LIVE!" :)

When I said the Star Wars series, I meant the whole enchilada. Sorry. I'm a card-carrying member of the anti-SW lobby, although I do have something of a soft spot for Empire. But despite being the best of those films, it still has awful dialogue, as bad as any of the others.

Phew! That's pretty damn bad! Good thing I passed on "Autumn"..

I second the vote for "Episode II", and "Fast and the Furious", and "Pearl Harbour" Wow.. Bad dialogue, stolid delivery..

I kinda liked that "Toad" line from X-men, though. :)

Definitely any movie where a character finds a way to speak the title of the film. Possibly the worst example ever:

"The Perfect Storm"

Pointless computer nerd (otherwise not in film at all) staring at weather computer screen and says...

"...It could be...The Perfect Storm..."(with Shatner'isms in full effect!) and practically stares into camera! :D

Worst line ever from one of the most ludicrously horrible films ever made by Hollywood!
