Woody Allen's HUSBANDS AND WIVES :cannot find! (1 Viewer)

Well, I was so happy to hear that Woody Allen's
Husbands and Wives was coming to DVD on
Tuesday, April 16, that I left work a bit earlier than
I normally would to pick up a copy....only I could not
find it anywhere, and finally called several stores, all
of which said they did not have it...at that they did
not even get any...even the over-priced Tower Records.
Then, I checked on-line, and it seems many e-tailers have
it listed as "out of stock."
Anyone know if this title has been officially delayed?
I don't recall Columbia Tri-Star having problems with
with street date delays.

I held off pre-ordering this until I saw the Best Buy & Circuit City ads. Since neither one of them advertised it as a new release, I knew it would be hard to find at a B&M on street date.

So I pre-ordered it last week (only $16.22 at DVD Empire) and they shipped it out the next day. I should get it today or tomorrow in the mail (I opted for the slow shipping.)

This is a good strategy to use for any new release. If it doesn't make the cut of getting pushed in the weekly sale ads, chances are the title will only trickle into stores.

I saw it at Borders yesterday. The bad news..... $23.99. Ouch.

Borders always seem to be a little bit pricier than most, Best Buy have it online for $19.99 which is probably the same as in store... I'll be picking it up soon as it's prob my favourite Allen flick

Tuesday, I went to the Best-Buy near where I work in Aurora, and they had 2 copies for 16.99. Well now there is only 1.
