ive heard a lot of good things about the sanus speaker stands, but does anyone use the wood technology ones? i prefer the looks of them, but if they do not perform as well as the sanus, i will make another choice. im looking at the hd31s vs the sanus nf30's.
    thanx!

I do not have the stands, but I do have their TV cart. I must say that the build quality is excellent, so I would not have any issues there.

    Hope this helps.

I have a pair of their HD-42 stands supporting my surrounds in my bedroom setup. The fit and finish is excellent in addition to being real wood. I agree that the Wood-Techs are eye-candy. I believe the Sanus stand is made of MDF and metal tubing that is sand/shot fillable. Based on this, the Sanus has the edge in performance. I would probably use the Sanus if performance were my main focus.

I think that performance-wise, sand-fillable steel is the way to go. My rule of thumb is that a dollar spent on speaker stands equals a dollar spent on the speakers themselves.
