I know you guys will appreciate this, since no one out here in the stix does.

I just got a new receiver! Yeah!
I get to replace my old Technics SA-R477 (Dolby Surround, not even Pro-Logic).
I even got a Denon no less! AVR-1803, not top of the line, but more than I can imagine I'll even need.
I got a really great price, from an authorized dealer--$299 shipped from e-cost.com (Yes it is refurbed, but doesn't have a scratch on it.)
Oh, and a new DVD changer with it, Denon DVM-1805, $149.

And I found the receipt from the Technics; I bought it at Silo (RIP) in 1988 for $469. What a bargain!

Now I don't feel like the poor stepchild.
Now back to my playing with the new toys.

Thanks for letting me gloat a little bit.

    Bob.

Nice work. Welcome to the world of 5.1 and beyond [IMG]
Isn't this the best place. You can tell folks about your new gear and not get the "You spent how much for what?" look.
