Tonight's episode features a returning episode 1 character, and a class reunion, and a talking hairclip... I'm there.

FOX is pairing this with tru calling in hopes of boosting the ratings. I think it stands a much greater chance of surviving on this night as opposed to Fridays.

From what I gather, the move is permanent as of now. Even the website for the show lists it as FOX THURSDAYS. I'd say this is the new time...

I like this show too. I hope it does well on Thursday night. I'm not a big fan of CSI nor Apprentice so it's a perfect slot for me.

I gather it's as permanent as anything in television.

I hope this move helps both Wonderfalls and Tru Calling - although it started pretty lame, Tru Calling has grown into a show that I would really miss if it didn't survive.

I don't know about this show...it's kinda weird. But it's also interesting at times and funny. Maybe I need a bong hit and that might help...

Huh. Tru Calling, to me, is the perfect example of a show I'd enjoy, but where I wouldn't miss if it were cancelled (and might, in fact, get excited about the potentially better projects the talented folks involved might move on to).

I did enjoy this one - nearly back up to the pilot's level. The chicken amused me greatly, and I can't remember William Sadler ever being funny before.

Definately the best episode since the pilot.

The pilot was my least favorite episode of the show. I have liked the episodes I have watched since then. I think they are better than the so-so pilot.

I've got to agree. It was touching without being boring or mundane. I think the father is my favorite character, real and sort of normal in the face of the insanity that swirls around him. The discussion between him and Jaye in the carride home was one of the best scenes on TV in a while.

This was the make or break show for me -- I was about to ditch this show because it was boring me. But I liked this ep, so much more than the previous two. The jarring thing, of course, was that it finally picked up some of the set ups from the pilot. I don't the producers did themselves a favor by shoe-horning two eps in-between -- the 2nd & 3rd shows had a different feel to them that did not grab me.

The only thing that sort of irritates me is the overly whimsical precious soundtrack. The show is already on the verge -- there's no need to slam that point home with music.

From the opinions above I am guessing this show is doomed. People think this show is a bit too weird or quirky?
People in general are used to things on TV that are the same and this is not.
The ratings for Wonderfalls failed to outdo the reality show that was there the previous week which is not a good thing.

I expect we'll get the first 7 episodes aired... then FOX will stop showing them.

Hopefully a DVD set of the series will come out in the near future...

I thought this was easily the 2nd best episode so far. Almost up there with the pilot. I think cause episodes 2/3 were used mostly to hook new viewers and make some things more understandable, they were a little out of place. The show seems to be getting back on track now.

I read that the season's story arc kind of gets set up next week when her brother catches her talking to the cow creamer, and starts to question her mental stability...

Yes, this episode was as good as the pilot. I think I know why, though. The last two shown were numbers 11 and 13 in the filming order.

Now I wonder if Pink Flamingos will be number 2 on the DVD's.

This one may have been better than the pilot, because it was more wall-to-wall funny, without having to deal with the setup, and not going so far as the emergency trach and sponge bath. I really didn't have to see William Sadler in the tighty whiteys though....

FYI, Wonderfalls has been cancelled. Tim Minear is looking for an alternate venue to air the remaining episodes. He assures fans that the 13 episode run was designed to carry a specific arc and should be satisfying as a whole.

yay! another hour I can spend away from the TV... because they cancelled yet another show I would have made a point to watch... at this rate... I'll have no reason to watch TV again...

I will gladly buy the dvds if I can't get the whole story any other way.

Fox is just nuts though. Four episodes!?! How can a brand new show thrown in mid season live or die on only four episodes?
