Well, not a lot, but I did OK... I also had a good month at work(FINALLY)... and have a few bucks to spend.
I'm really leaning toward an HK, Onkyo, or Yamaha. Entry/mid-level
    Some background:
    Philips HD widescreen 30"
    Onkyo 6 disc prog. dvd
Paradigm Focus fronts, cc270 center, Bose 201's rear duty
Dayton Tiny Mighty II from PE
    Xbox
and ..., UM... ah,... KLH 5.1
I would like to add that my Onkyo dvd has Dts capability, and that would be a nice feature... If I kept my old receiver, and bought a dts decoder???

How much is a few bucks?

You could probably pick up a great little receiver from the likes of Sherwood or Pio. or Panasonic, for a couple hun. I think you'd be better of that route.

@ three/four bills would be cool...
I really like the HK AVR 335 series. but that's a bit more..
hadn't contemplated sherwood and not sure about those.
All my old stuff was Pioneer, they were good to me but I have the wherewithall to move into something, (I guess in my perception) a little less mainstream and more elitist??
how about S&D at some of the manufacturers stores??
    any expierences out there??
