A Consumer Electronics Association survey (not entirely unbiased, I'll admit) has women prefering a high-def TV over a one-carat diamond. Women have become motivating forces in home electronics sales.
Interesting article from Wired News: Women Prefer HDTV
    Cheers,

Thanks, Jan. One of my closest friends, a woman named Erin, is the driving video force in her household. Her boyfriend is into the audio, but Erin is into accurate, calibrated, sophisticated displays. Her primary video engine: a professionally calibrated Toshiba 56H81.

My wife did buy me the first of the 5 projectors I've had in the last 2 years. [IMG] Come to think of it, she bought my first set of speakers as well.

My wife hates my new Panny 47 or she's just to stubborn to admit she likes it. Either way I'm happy as #[email protected]$.

Hmm, so when I move back to Grand Forks next month, I should make sure to mention my 53" Panny to all the hot college girls? (since it's kind of a college town and I'm only 23)

Re: 1 carat. Yeah, like I said, the survey was a bit biased. [IMG]

I coulda bought a diamond ring (a small one) for the same money, but I bought a Phillips HDTV instead.

That little stone is just no good for displaying DVDs.

One carat? if you were to get a high quality stone, you'd be looking at 10K+.
Honey.. do you think you'd like this 50" plasma on your finger? [IMG]
