Those smart wal mart shoppers know a bargin when they see it.

I'm trying to get into the mind set of a wal mart customer, as the doors were openening.

"Look mom, a woman fell and they are stepping on top of her."

"Well sweety, $29.00 for a state of the art dvd player, I'd walk over her too. Some day you'll understand. Just remember we need to get the nascar decals for the minivan." Slap!

My apologies for offending any nascar or wal mart fans and minivan drivers.

Well the joke will be on those stampeding morons when they get their $29 DVD player that will break and won't be able to handle anything but the most basic designed DVDs

Yeah, let's hope that doesn't inflate P&S sales

"Darling. they have this new X-Men DVD here, that would be a great movie to play on our new $29 DVD player. I've been reading some things that say that this widecreen thing is the way the movies are supposed to be watched. I have even heard legends that movies are cropped at the sides for television. But I can't seem to find that here at Wal-Mart. Oh clerk, do you have this widecreen thing here for X-Men"

"No we already sold out of the 15 copies we had in the store, but we have 10,000 copies of the Full Screen version"

"Oh, well, I guess that must be the better version then, ok we'll go with that!"

So does anyone know what kind of DVD player it is for $29?

I heard it was the Panasonic RP-82.*

Adam - you had me worried there for a sec. [IMG]

I can't believe that store either. I am sure that they are holding the one that was under her, and it's probably busted now. Cute.

And at that price, you'd think that they'd just give it to her. It is opening up a hostile situation. Shouldn't Wal-Mart be responsible for the mob control? It was, after all,
    on their property.

Would it be feasible for stores to start handing out like tickets or something for people in line and have a couple people up front to make sure the line goes in single file so this doesn't happen again?

I know this is just part of black friday but some kind of control needs to take place. The outcome might be worse next time.

I find this story extremely hilarious. I also agree the part about offering to hold a player for her is pretty funny itself.

Seeing people run to get a bargain first thing on Black Friday is a pathetic sight. I worked a Christmas at Best Buy. Never again. It's a sad, sad thing to witness.
