I'm not sure how it will translate to a console game.

I love it but the levels are short and difficult and sometime without a lot of enemies.

No One Lives Forever will make a great console game but I wonder about Wolfenstein.

I see your point. It is a bit slow paced for a console game. Any game where you have a specific button for opening doors (I HATE THAT) isn't gonna work on a console.

At least the consoles won't have to suffer through the horrible multiplayer element.

Yeah, so the X-Box isn't a PC, and won't have PC ports, just like MS said, right?

Morgan I don't understand your statement. It's being ported to the PS2 as well.

I think I am more eager for future incarnations of Medal of Honour to come out. Upset to hear Frontline is delayed until Summer however......May grab PC Allied Assault to deal with my Nazi killing needs. [IMG]

I agree with you Dan. I have Wolfenstein on the PC and although I think its a great game I am much more looking forward to the realistic approach(ie no mutant monsters[IMG]) of the Medal of Honor titles.
Allied Assault comes out at the end of the month for the PC if I remember correctly. It is also getting an X-box port later this year. Frontlines will be coming out in June and I'm looking forward to stepping back in Jimmy Pattersons shoes[IMG] There is something inherently satisfying about blasting Nazi's away.....

    Romier,

Exactly, the mutant bit of Wolfenstien never grabbed me. Allied Assault is headed for X-box? Can we expect 5.1 here????? OH MY!

More than likely you can expect a 5.1 track on the X-box version. I have yet to see an X-box game that doesn't have one so......
I can just imagine what the beach scene straight out of Private Ryan will sound like in this game in 5.1! (If its anything like the Ryan DVD...*drool*)
    Heres some confirmation for you:

I have nothing wrong with PC ports on any console, but when MS continually says that the X-Box isn't a PC and that they won't let too many PC ports onto it and then half of that ends up being false, I get a little perturbed (or however its spelled). I really could care less, but I find it ironic that many of the best X-Box games (or future ones) are PC ports.

    Morgan,

Apparently you didn't hear me the first time so I will ask it again.

I am asking you to not post in this thread. Your first post was very inflammatory and honestly unwanted. If you have nothing contructive to add then simply dont bother.

With Allied Assault on the way, that gives me 2 reasons to get an SVS... or 1 reason each to get 2 [IMG].

    Romier,
Calm down. Morgan's post was anything but inflammatory. It was cute and struck directly at official Microsoft comments.
Did I just publicly defend Morgan? [IMG]

I don't mind getting the creme de la creme of computer games. [IMG] I'm just surprised PS2 is also getting it. I bet we see an XBox version a lot sooner with better quality.

Unless there is multiplayer online, what's the point? Most review sites, and myself, felt that the single player is was at best very good, while the multiplayer was fantastic.
