With the death of Frank Bonner I am searching for the best source for the series DVDs. I know that Shout! Factory bought the rights and managed to get the rights for most of the original music and dialog.
Is this the best version available?

Sad to hear of him passing. I think that is likely the best version.

Can someone fix the spelling in the title? It's making this Cincinnati native cringe. :)

It's the only version, isn't it? There was a single season release with much of the music replaced, but I don't think any of the subsequent seasons were released.

Correct. I'd guess no one bought the Fox set because of the music replacements, and Fox saw no reason to continue releasing it.

However, IIRC, the Fox set is the only place to get the other version of The Contest Nobody Could Win. Actually, the Shout set includes "the other version", the Fox set would be the version most people remember airing.
