I was thinking about picking some up for maybe night time viewing so I can still experience bass but not wake up my whole house. Is this a valid enough reason. do they really give the sense of loud bass? the svs alone when turned up to normal listening levels can knock my socks off so I don't need them for that purpose. Some insight would help greatly. thanks in advance.

    Brian,

Just b/c I got a sweet price on them, and I had a spare channel on my amp, I picked up a pair of Bass shakers just for fun. I find that they are fun little toys, definitely not to be used during loud music or movie playing, as my SVS does just fine. But for VHS movies and late night watching,it does fill in nicely for fun. Go for it, but don't spend alot of money to do this.
