I just got back from Best Buy (had to pick up the Grail [IMG]). While I was there I looked for WAFLH but no luck. I asked an employee who pulled the title up in their computer but it appears it did not ship to any of their local stores (Southern CA). Anybody have any luck finding this one? I checked Suncoast online and they say they have it for $29.99 which is more than I like to pay for my dvds. I may have to rent this one.

Delayed? I received this week, along with the other films streeting today.

Is this movie worth purchasing sight unseen? I am curious about it but not sure if I should pick it up. Let me know what you think without spoilers please.

Every DVD site on the net indicates it is out and/or in stock, except for DVD Empire, which is where I ordered it from. What gives?

OK, here's what I have been able to find so far. The place I was hoping to rent it from (a place pretty much everyone on this forum dislikes to some degree [IMG]) apparently isn't going to even carry it. No real surprise there. The Suncoast in Brea mall has it at $32.99! No way am I paying that much for a movie I have not yet seen, no matter how highly it has been touted by many. Next I suppose I can call Tower. Either that or be patient and wait for Best Buy to get it.

Last update before I leave work for the day. Tower does indeed have it - also for $32.95 [IMG]. Oh well, I guess there's still Circuit City. I can't imagine Target or Wal-Mart getting this title.

I received my DVD copy last Saturday and watched it. I found the film well made and much to my liking.

For anyone who can't find it, Circuit City is selling it online for $24.99. That's the lowest price I've seen. I'll put up a review after it gets to me.

Both A and B and CNL have this delayed until 10/30. As this film is one of my Top 10 of 2000, even a week delay is a little hard to take. [IMG] The reason is Universal Canada is delaying all their product left and right (Harry is distributed by Alliance up here, which is distributed by Universal.) which is the reason Blood Simple got delayed until the 16th yet I had my copy on the 2nd. Odd...

DVDEmpire sent me email saying that With A Friend Like Harry has been delayed until 10/30.
I'm not sure if they used a program or a person to send out that email. It seemed pretty personalized.

Just rented it today from Tower Video, where it's on sale for $27.99 btw.
Looking forward to watching it as I have heard many good things about it from members such as Edwin Pereyra and Jason Whyte.
Hope it's as good as they say. [IMG]

At the local Hastings where I work, we have 3 copies available for rent, so if you're in the midwest and wanna see it, you're in luck.

twas at my local Tower as well for 27.99. hadn't read any specs on it, but purchaesd it anyways after hearing the good reviews about it this summer. was a little worried that the original French audio wouldn't be DD 5.1. rest assured it was. i hate dubbed soundtracks.
BTW- very good movie, with a neat little ending. liked it very much, although Memento is still my vote for best of 2001.

I suggest renting first, as I did.
Unfortunately I was disappointed by this film and have started a thread in the movies section about it that Edwin has kindly provided a link to above.
An average film, but a fine transfer FWIW.
