With xbox games started to come out in 720p, what hdtv ready sets currently show 720p natively? I have a mitsubishi 55809 which doesn't unfortunately. Are the newer models of hdtv adding this feature, or is is still hit and miss?

For consumer RPTVs there are very, very few. However, the new Toshibas, at least, upconvert 720p to 1080i. I imagine it does a decent job, as the 480p->540p conversion is said to be much improved.

It's not optimal, but a nice feature for Xbox owners, I'd say.

I believe a few of the Sampo direct view HDTVs supported 720P
