According to tvshowsondvd.com, Stephen Cannell is looking into releasing the series on dvd.
Trade periodical "Video Store Magazine" reported here within the last few weeks that producer Stephen J. Cannell is working on bringing out a fan-favorite series. To quote the article:
Cannell's own company is looking into releasing "Wiseguy" on DVD. "People are constantly asking about it," he said. "The fans of that show were intense."
    --------
If no-one had a chance to ever see the 2 Story Arcs with Ray Sharkey & Kevin Spacey, you're in for some of the best tv drama ever.
If you want to motivate Cannell to get moving on it, you should EMail : [email protected]

This and 21 Jump Street are my two most wished for series on DVD. Definitely good news.

interesting. not absolutely sure I'd buy this, but I'd certainly be happy to rent it (assuming any rental shop in this dang-blasted place would actually carry something like this) and have a look again.
I still remember watching Kevin Spacey for the first time in this, and thinking that he was an incredible actor. glad to see in retrospect that I was absolutely right.
and let's not forget drooling over Joan Severance... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Can you believe the same guy who played Roger LaCocco was also on that awful sitcom with Ben Savage!!

What a great actor. I guess he needed the money to do that terrible sitcom.

    -----

BTW: Lets not forget how incredible Ray Sharkey was in his role of Sonny.

Him and Spacey were the best villains by far ...

didn't the actor portraying Roger also play a guest role in Ally McBeal, where he was an older man dating Ally at the same time as his son? and one cheesy sequence had him playign the piano in the bar singing a Neil Diamond song.

William Russ (Roger LoCocco) also played the character "Evan" on the exceptionally good Miami Vice episode of the same name.

Count me in for Wiseguy DVDs... and Miami Vice too for that matter.

Sorry to knock a kiddie show like 'Boy Meets World'.

It was just hard to see Russ (Lococco) as a sitcom dad when we was such a great "villain" on Wiseguy ...

    Buckwheat needed the bucks.

Wiseguy is coming out Aug. 26 in a first-season set with commentary and other extras, according to a phone call I got today from a PR firm.

Maybe this is old news, but I couldn't find it in another thread.
