I've finally got my sonotube enclosure done! I'll be installing the driver tonight and firing it up for a demo or two.

One quick question: I'm using an old ProLogic reciever as an amp for the Tempest driver. I'll be wiring it with one channel to each VC (separate sources instead of parallel). To reverse the phase, do I invert the +/- on both VCs or just one?

Probably a stupid question, but I don't want to mess anything up!

Also, would inverting just one VC be like a 90 degree phase switch instead of 0 to 180??

    Thanks!

You have to reverse the polarity on both voice coils (otherwise, you'll get hardly any output with the 2 voice coils out of phase with each other).

Makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply, Patrick! My Tempest Sub is a clone of your Sunosub II. Your website was more helpful than you could imagine! Thanks!
