Im a newbie. We are replacing all our Sheetrock in the living roomso the wall willbe open for speaker/equipment wiring. I am just not sure about e wiring for say cable box, blue ray. ATV etc. to tv. My confusion is from the wall to the equipment. Are there " jumpers" from the wall plates to the equipment? Actually maybe I won't have these hdmi wire and other wires run to the tv if i am going to have a receiver for my surround sound. Would they all be plugged into the reciever and just one wire to the tv? If somene could post pics that would be very helpful. Thanks

Yes you should run all your sources into the AVR...and one HDMI to the display(tv). You also need to be more specific. Are your sources going to be hidden away in a closet? Open in the room?

Ok thanks. Today was a big demo day, walls next. As you can see in the pic that is how our setup will be(new cabinet for equipment). Cabinet right under tv. I don't understand. If I use this plate that means an HDMI cord is run hidden in the wall to the play by the equipment cabinet and one by the tv. But then are you suppose to run a "jumper" hdmi to the equipment and tv from the plate? They make 1-2' HDMI cords? Or have I had a few too many beers today :D. You can run HDMI in the wall however you want. Do you want to buy HDMI wall plates and run HDMI off the plates? If so, buy them. Or do you want to run it this way? http://www.amazon.com/PowerBridge-TSPBIW-6-WH-Total-Solution-Management/dp/B003CJTQ3I/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362354844&sr=1-1&keywords=in+wall+cable+management Or this way? http://www.amazon.com/DataComm-45-0001-WH-1-Gang-Recessed-Voltage/dp/B00193U3O0/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362354870&sr=1-3&keywords=in+wall+cable+management Or this way? http://www.amazon.com/Datacomm-45-0031-WH-Recessed-Voltage-Receptacle/dp/B004GZ89N0/ref=sr_1_17?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362354895&sr=1-17&keywords=in+wall+cable+management Or this way? http://www.amazon.com/Midlite-1Gwh-Gr1-Single-Wireport-Grommet/dp/B001TFDVLA/ref=sr_1_40?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362355002&sr=1-40&keywords=in+wall+cable+management Or this way? http://www.amazon.com/Arlington-CED1-1-Insert-1-Gang-1-Pack/dp/B003FMVQ3K/ref=sr_1_28?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362354971&sr=1-28&keywords=in+wall+cable+management Or this way?(outside the wall but covered) http://www.amazon.com/OmniMount-CMK-Cable-Management-Covers/dp/B000LTNIZE/ref=sr_1_21?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362354929&sr=1-21&keywords=in+wall+cable+management

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10425&cs_id=1042513&p_id=4006&seq=1&format=2 I want to put enough outlets behind my av cabinet to plug in about (5) pieces of equipment. Is this how the power/outlets are setup if doing new construction? Thanks.
