Due to the way my small NYC apartment is set up it is a pain to run the cables for the surround speakers straight through the middle of the living room. So what I have to do right now is move them to the back next to the couch everytime I want to watch a movie.

My question is, are there any wireless speakers that are good to use for surround sound?

    Any pointers would be great.

There is a new solution for u'r kind of situation. The 'Niro 1.1 pro' system by Niro NAkamichi, of the Nakamichi fame.

the system seems to be rather well liked by CNET and another review site that i can email u. The reply is not accepting URLs in my posting.

This solution has the entire mains, sorrounds and center channel that is in one enclosure that goes on top of the TV so thers is almost absolutely no wiring.

    All the best..

Has anyone heard this system yet? I can't imagine that this thing could sound as good as an actual 6.1 or 7.1 system with separate speakers.

    Anyone?
