I was wondering if there was any sort of device that would convert a speaker that required speaker wire, into a wireless speaker. I am envisioning this device to be some sort of transmitter/receiver attachment that would attach to my stereo receiver and to my speaker. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Jeremy,
X-10 ( www.x10.com ) has exactly what you are
looking for. It is called the "Wireless Sound Power" kit.
It consists of a 2.4Ghz Transmitter and a 2.4Ghz Receiver
with a built in 10 watt RMS amplifier. The kit comes with
a silver universal remote that controls TV,VCR,DVD,SAT,Cabl
and controls the Wireless system via RF Signals. You can
adjust the Bass/Trebble/Balance and Volume plus mute the
wireless system.
It sounds very good for what it is. Remember any wireless
technology has to accept interference from outside sources.
But for the money it's a great compact system that does the
job..
