I have been using my notebook to connect wirelessly to the internet at my house for 7 months. Everything has worked flawlessly.

Two days ago, I turned on the computer and my network card was "dead." I took it out and put it back in and the power light went on for 1 second and then turned off. I've been able to push the card in and it will get power and stay on. Windows recognizes it as a network controller but can't find the drivers. I manually point the computer to the drivers but it still won't install.

Yesterday, I purchased a new card and am having the same problem. I'm thinking there is something wrong with the PCMCIA slot.

Any suggestions? Could it be a virus causing this? I've unistalled and reinstalled the PCMCIA slot to no avail.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Did you install a service pack update or a hotfix recently? Sometimes they mess things up. [IMG]
