Wireless Cable Modem?

    They have Wireless Internet. All you have to do is take a laptop to a Starbucks and you don't have to plug in at all.

    Any chance the same could be done with cable modems? Save up on wire space [​IMG].

    You mean for your computer to talk to the cable modem or for the modem to talk to the cable?

    The former is easy, the latter is a bandwidth issues.

    There are wireles ISP's in some areas. There is one in Raleigh that is doing some apartment complexes. They are offering bandwidth about double what DSL gives you for around $35 a month so it is a good deal if you live in one of the complexes.

    some necessary reading 802.11 Security[​IMG], i have a d-link di-614+, it isn't as fast as cat5 but it beats running cable all over the house. Blue tooth is another choice but i know nothing about it.[​IMG]
