I'm passing judgment without having seen something but this is fake edgy horseshit. "Ohhhh, you're such a provocateur taking a beloved children's icon and making it dark. Ohhhhhh." Again, I'm pre-judging something but there's good bad taste but this is just bad bad taste.

Sounds like a real high-class outfit, like some of the zero-budget providers for SyFy network such as The Asylum and Nu Image.

Also, "shot in 10 days" is another red flag.

Public domain characters do get cheap productions, but this "beloved family character turned into a horror story" thing is new.

I guess. Outside of that Banana Splits movie from a couple years back, I can't think of other instances, though I'm sure they exist. (Not counting "Bambi Meets Godzilla"! )

Of course, Banana Splits wasn't public domain. Nonetheless, still a "children's property" turned into a graphic horror movie, which seems pretty rare.
