Why is it that when I try to play a cd through Windows media player it tries to access the internet? When I click on stay offline It wont play the cd. How can I fix this because it never used to do this until yesterday.

The reason WMP is trying to access the internet is to get the track information for the CD you're putting in. I'm not sure why it won't play if you deny it, but next time let it access the internet.

Click on the Tools > Options and see if something got changed in there to have it access the net each time a CD is loaded.
