windows media9 editing

    i am new to video capturing so pardon the newbie question. i just captured some video using the windows media 9 encoder. what software can i use to edit out commercials. thanks.

    I'm not sure, but you could probably use Windows Movie Maker.

    yep, windows movie maker should work quite nicely, it is located in your start menu under accessories. just dont expect your media files to import easily into another video editor or encoder, i had very limited success in trying to convert wmv files into another format.

    Danny,

    If you plan to do a lot of editing after capture, you may be better off capturing to a lossless codec (like HUFFYUV), then editing, then encoding to WMV or your compressed format of choice.
