When searching through various folders, I prefer to see files in the "List" view, as opposed to icons. It seems as though I need to specify "List" view for each folder. Is there a way to globally set all folders to display files in "List" format? (Windows XP)

    Thanks

Open an explorer window and set the view style you want, then go to Tools->Folder Options->View and click on the Apply to all folders button.

Along the same idea, is there a way to apply the customised detail columns to all directories under the current?

For example, I use a shell extention for Ogg Vorbis (Better than MP3) that lets me put info like track title, artist, album, duration and Bit rate as columns in detail view. Is there a way to apply it to all the sub-directories under "My Music" instead of doing it separately for each folder.

No, I think its either dir by dir or apply to all. If someone knows how, I'd be curious too.
