Windows 98 FOLDER problems (1 Viewer)

I am having problems with the folders on my computer. Whenever I try to save a photo to a folder, it rearranges them so they are totally out of order. I right click on the icons to "arrange them" by name, but the next time I try to save something, it reverts back to the out of order way. I have a feeling they are being arranged by date instead of by name, but I still can't stop it from doing it. I tried the folder options folder, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

This should do it: Go to the "View" menu, then "Arrange Icons". A pop-out-to-the-side menu should come up, choose "by Name". This shouldn't change unless you change it yourself, as far as I know, at least.

I know...i've tried that several times, but it still reverts back to the out of order way.....

That's very strange. What program are you using the save the pictures?

I'm not using a program. However, recently i did install Picasa...could that be causing it (it is similar to iphoto, I've been told...
