I've been away from 98 so long that I can't figure this out right off.

If you delete the My Documents folder from the desktop, how do you get the original folder back to the desktop? I know you can put a shortcut in place, but is there a place that you can check to replace the MD folder on the desktop??

That folder is usually found within the "Documents and Settings" folder. Go into your Windows Explorer and find the folder.

    You can...
Click while holding ctrl and drag it to the My Desktop icon at the top. This will copy it to the desktop.

    Or you can...
Click once on it to highlight it then copy it via ctrl+c or whatever. Then minimize everything to go to your desktop and ctrl+v to paste it on.

OK, I didn't know if there was a setting like in 2000 & XP in the folder options or elsewhere that you could check to "display my documents folder on desktop".

    Thanks
