Because he "took the piss out of" the extrememly pretentious AMERICAN IDOL. The judging on that show is incredibly inconsistent. After insulting one performer, they will then praise another performer who is just as bad. After being insulted by the smug, arrogant British guy, instead of bursting into tears like he was supposed to do, William Hung defiantly stated, "I have given my best, and I have no regrets at all." Though he lacks musical talent, I think his attitude is very respectable, and in my opinion, is the reason for his fame.
Has anyone found a link to a pic of Freddie in that leotard? I was going to make a collage for some friends but am having a heck of a time finding a screencap from the original video.
ya know, i wouldn't fault the guy one bit. he's making some decent money (so i heard or read somewhere), plus he's getting his *exceptionally long* fifteen minutes. i was really hoping this guy was taking it all tongue in cheek.
but...
i saw an interview where he basically told the interviewer he would try (but could not promise) that he'd grant him further interviews because of all the attention he's getting. the problem is that he had attitude about it ... like he was believing that he was all that.
i mean, having fun with this is one thing ... but believing that you're actually making a career out of this???? :rolleyes
