    It's the RCA Distribution Multi-Switch (D6530)
    http://www.rca.com/product/viewdetai...CI345,00.html?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I need help.
Currently my home set up is, (1)dual lnb satellite, (1)sony ultimate tv receiver, and (1)standard rca satellite receiver.
A while ago I purchased a multi-switch from radioshack, so I can take advantage of the ultimate tv receiver. The switch worked however two channels on the rca receiver stopped coming in very well. When I took the multi-switch out of the set up, the channels were fine. I figured that I was losing signal strength with the multi-switch, so I should purchase one with an amplifier. So I bought the one mentioned at the beginning of this post, the D6530. When I set everything back up again those two channels still don't come in well. When I un-hooked the multi-switch they were fine again.
Can any help me identify what the problem is?
    Thanks
    Jerry

Try terminating the unused connections on the multi-switch with a F connector ( I think that's what it's called). Anyway, it's a small cap that screws on to prevent image ghosting and other picture distortions.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll look into trying that.
Any idea how much an 'F connector' costs?

Radio Shack has them for less than $2.00 each.
