I don't think either series have the same movie potential that The Next Generation had. If I had to pick between them I'd say that Voyager will be translated to the big screen: I think DS9 is terrible!

Actually, Quark was cut out of ST: Insurrection, they shot a whole scene on the promenade of DS9. (now Admiral) Janeway is the one who contacts Picard in ST:Nemesis.
DS9 was the best Trek series of them all. Give it another shot when the DVDs come out. The Dominion War is an incredible 3 seasons of television

I never got into DS9 for the pure fact that I was too young and had just found how good it was in the last year or so of it.
I hope they start making movies with the DS9 cast soon because the TNG cast is starting too look a little old. They could just start making DS9 movies, Voyager movies, and TNG movies.

For the overall answer to the question, please refer to Peter Kline's answer. Of course, we will see some of the characters in the feature films--but no film will ever be based solely on the DS9 or Voyager characters.
As Jeff points out, that script circulating on the Internet (and which Tino shared so much info with us about) posits that Picard will receive his marching orders in Nemesis from--*chokes*--Admiral Janeway. And, of course, we all recall seeing Robert Picardo's Emergency Medical Hologram making a cameo appearence in First Contact.
The real question, however, is: After the tenth feature film, just who will be the focus of the next one (assuming an eleventh feature gets made)? By all indications, Nemesis may be the last feature with the TNG cast and crew.

I love DS9 (especially the final 3 seasons) but I would hate a movie to be made out of it. The series came to a natural conclusion and to reunite the characters (Sisko just happens to come back from The Prophets, Odo re-emerges from his slime bath, etc) would be way too contrived.
I'd like a Voyager movie, but only on the provisos that Janeway gets help for her perpetual grouchiness and there are plenty of gratuitous nude scenes involving 7 of 9. Oh yes - and Neelix remains marooned on that asteroid.

I don't see the need to. I think Janeway is a weak captain. Maybe they could combine the voyager and enterpise crews?

Patrick Stewart claimed a Voyager movie would be forthcoming, but I don't know if he knew what he was talking about. I'd like to see one. I'd go see a DS9 movie, but I think that the powers that be already said no to that idea.

I think if they had to make a movie from either DS9 or Voyager series the later would be the better. They made many enemies in the Delta quadrant that could easily come back to haunt them. Both series were great in their own way though I did get into Voyager more, especially when 7 of 9 showed up. Sure her T&A had my attention at the start but that wore of after a while and I found her character to get more interesting as the series progressed. I never had a problem with Janeway as Captain. To be honest I feel the crew of Voyager was much better than STN.

Yes, DS9 reached the end of it's arc. However, I wouldn't be suprised at a movie featuring the most popular characters from DS9/Voyager. Ezri Dax needs some screen time damnit! She got so good, but only had the last season to grow and develop

I think the reason why DS9 was dumped was because Berman abandoned it for Voyager. It was always the "middle child", which meant that Ira Behr was free to write great stories w/o too much studio intereference. Since Berman doesn't "know" the show anymore, he'd prefer to dump it

Personally, I'd love to see a movie starring the Voyager cast.
But only if it was an Americanized version of Battle Royale.

Roxann Dawson and Garret Wang were in London this week and though they both said that nothing had even been mentioned about a movie to them, they would both want to do it if they could.

Well, Dawson is directing an episode or two of Enterprise and writing novels. Don't know about Wang, but I'm sure he'll find something. It's probably pretty tough coming off a steady seven year run and having to go back to looking for roles.

I agree that the Admiral Janeway thing is ridiculous. Janeway should NEVER be promoted above Picard. NEVER. She marooned her own ship in the Delta Quadrant because she hadn't considered TIME BOMBS. No. She should not be promoted as such.
For me, I would prefer TNG movies until they are too old to make them. Whatever that point is. I also wouldn't mind if they made them without Brent Spiner. They could bring in a Voyager Character to replace him even. Unfortunately, they'd probably choose Barbie Borg.

I LOVED DS9 the first 4 seasons.
While I thought the Dominion Federation War was ok, the thing that really made it enjoyable for me were the great performances-escpecially from Jeffrey Coombs(Wayun)and Marc Aliamo(Who was fabalous as Gul Dukat).
