Will The Marx Bros. come to Blu? (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if the Marx Brothers have a shot at making it to Blu Ray?


I ask this because a long time ago I had read that ALL 5 of their Paramount films ("The Coconuts", "Animal Crackers", "Monkey Business", "Horse Feathers" and "Duck Soup") had suffered from the loss or extinction of their OCN's.


I wonder if anyone from the HTF community could shed some light on the state of these films.

According to a recent shareholder meeting, Universal has been preparing 4K restorations of the Paramount films, which they've owned for many years. That's no guarantee that they'll make it to Blu-ray, but I think there's a better chance now that they're working on restorations than there had been before.

I prefer the MGM films, & I can't find my Warner DVD box set, & it's deleted & goes for a lot of money these days, so hoping for Blu a set from Warner...which might not make it, with all the other stuff they have to work on.


I'm sure we're about due for an announcement from them for something old & good.

I think Universal thinks these B&W films are only good for dvd like their upcoming WC Fields
