Since Spy Kids 2 was shot using the same type cameras as Episode II, will the DVD be transferred in the same fashion? Or has this already been said?

will it look even better since the digital cameras used were reportedly better?

Cameras were the same, just superior lenses to my knowledge. The questionable shots in AOTC are much to do with Lucas re-framing shots in post to some obscene level which is believed to have resulted in the poor detail and brightness levels of some shots (Coruscant interiors).

Pretty sure Spy Kids 2 will be direct digital, and in both widescreen and p&s incarnations knowing Disney.

The recent PR that came out yesterday I believed, mentioned a Collector's Series release. Only anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen was mentioned (ala the first film)... though it wouldn't surprise me if there was a P&S version, hopefully not on the same disc. No mention on weither this is a film based transfer or a direct to digital though:

Now what I want to know is, Rodriquez plans his trilogy box set next December with CEs of the first movie and eventually the third film. Anyone wonder if CEs of 1 and 3 will be exclusive to that box set? If so I'd fear to buy 2 right away.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Buena Vista would release SE's of "Spy Kids 2: Island Of Lost Dreams" and "Spy Kids 3" (which we'll probably be talking about this time next year) as they're originally released on DVD and then produce an SE of the original "Spy Kids" that would be exclusive to the box set.

I enjoyed Spy Kids 2 even more than the first one. (Ya gotta love that amusement park opening sequence.) Here's hoping it's a great disc.
