Hi, just saw the cover art for the series finale and I think that it's hideous. It'd be nice if just the top part was on the front cover and the bows were on the back cover.
    Does anyone agree with me?

I'm guessing around September at earliest or if not then, then December.

The release rate for the Will & Grace sets is horrific. It's only like one season a year isn't it? Insane. Maybe they'll speed up the release once the series ends.

Are these sets not selling as well as we think ? Perhaps that's part of the long delays. Or perhaps they're just trying to milk the show for what it's worth.

I don't get the idea of buying a season finale by itself when it will be included in the final season set anyway. Assuming that gets released.

I think NBC is really trying to hold up the releases as much as possible until their deal with Lionsgate expires, so DVD rights can go to Universal.

It is depressing to think that the Season Boxsets in the UK, produced by NBC Home Ent. & Contender have better extra's that some of the US releases. Lions Gate are very poor with extra's.

Blame it on NBC Home Entertainment. Lionsgate is just the distributor.

Well homecome some extra's on the UK releases by NBC U Home are not on the US? There is a 40 minute retrospective on UK Season 5, interviewing Eric McCormack.

Do Lions Gate not produce the extra's, and the set?

No, it's NBC. Lionsgate is the distributor, but look at the spine of the sets: NBC Home Entertainment (or simply NBC for the Season Four set) is the only one listed. Lionsgate is listed on the back and on the discs, but that's it.

That is one ugly box cover, but ya know, over the years, the cast has pretty much lost what meager good looks they had in the first place.

There is a mistake on the cover though--in the "take a bow" half, the cast is facing the wrong way.

Just received my copy, it's not in widescreen, regular pan and scan [IMG]

Wish I hadn't bought this now, hopefully the extras will be worth it (have yet to watch them).

NBC/Lionsgate better get it together for the DVD set for the season that started airing in HDTV so that we can have widescreen, but I don't know what season that is. Anyone?

WILL & GRACE was one of the last NBC entertainment series not broadcasting in HDTV. (I think SCRUBS must have been the last holdout). It started in the middle of either season 6 or 7.

I was VERY disapppointed that the finale wasn't in enhanced widescreen. How stupidly short-sighted of them to do this.

Well, Scrubs broadcast 1 episode in HD - but not widescreen, not much difference.

That is really odd. There is no mention of the aspect ratio on the packaging, but the disc itself says it's in widescreen.

Some of the special features are letterboxed (but not enhanced for widescreen TVs.) The show itself on the DVD is definitely 4:3.
