Why is Will and Grace so dark? You can hardly see it! I used to think that Everybody Loves Raymond looked too dark, as well as King of Queens, but they look very bright compared to Will and Grace....my god these will look terrible in years to come when seen in re-runs. You can barely make out their faces.

Sounds like "garbage in, garbage out" on the part of your local affiliate or cable company.

It's not my cable....it's the only show like this now. The reference to ELR and KOQ was from their earlier seasons. There is no doubt that Will and Grace uses low lighting and in my opinion it looks terrible.

    I doubt it...

I also believe it is the fault of your cable company or affiliate rather than the show itself.
I've watched countless episodes, and i've never had the mere thought of it being too dark.
Maybe the affiliate's tapes of them were dark to begin with for one reason or another...
Have you watched W&G on another station?

On my Comcast cable feed, W&G looks just like Friends in terms of lighting, so no problem here in GA.

I've never noticed that, but I have noticed NBC's primetime shows (Friends, Scrubs, ER, West Wing specifically) sometimes get darker and then go back to normal, but only for brief periods 2 or 3 times throughout the show.

That's on DirecTV, and it's only on NBC during those shows.

I live probably 10 minutes from Patrick seeing that he lives in Duluth, I'm on Comcast also and no problems here. Not much help I guess.

I will call my cable company, because the show is definitely darker than others. Also, I noticed that CBS sounds horrible, with the music drowning out voices....I especially noticed this during Survivor.
