This isn't exactly home theater per se but I am sure you guys know the answer.

When I turn off the light switch in my computer room I hear a light popping sound come from my computer speakers. No sound is made when I turn the switch on. Is this causing damage to my speakers? Is this a concern; does it need to be fixed? How do I prevent this from happening?

no it won't harm them but it can be annoying...hard to say how to prevent it...so many possibilities...what kind of lights, fluorecent? if so maybe a ballast issue...or switch might be defective...consider possibly a rotary or slider switch in which case you could just slide/turn the thing off...just an idea

They are flouresecent tubes. If it's not harming anything I guess I just won't let it bother me.
