    Hi guys,

Just got home theater (Toshiba 50hdx82 widescreen tv, sony dv-990 a/v reciever/dvd player.

Set dvd output to 16:9 tv/progressive connected through component video.

On TV doc it says use Native(or Natural, don't remember) format if you watch 16:9 dvd's.
But when I do that, I'm getting two grey bars on both sides, like i'm watching 4:3 programs.

What I'm doing wrong or it supposed to be this way?

    Thanks for help

Unless Toshiba has changed its terminology, the proper viewing mode for 16:9-enhanced DVDs is "Full".

The proper mode for expanding letterboxed (but not 16:9-enhanced) DVDs to fill the screen is Theaterwide 2.
